READING RECS BASED ON MISCONCEPTION TROPES

Happy Tuesday! Misconception is around the corner and ARC Applications will be opening this week. (Be sure to subscribe to my email or follow me on IG to get the first notifications).

But there is still reading to be done, so I wanted to share a few recommendations based on the tropes you’ll find in Misconception.

REVERSE GRUMPY-SUNSHINE

Okay, technically, this rec could fall into the category for this trope and the last on this list. HOWEVER, this is one of the most epic, well-done versions of reverse grumpy-sunshine I’ve ever read so it has to live here.

As I was reading through it, I was 100% getting Max and Harper vibes so I think this is a great one if you’re highly anticipating Misconception!

FAMILY OBLIGATIONS

So I originally wanted to find a mafia book to recommend here, but, to be honest, I haven’t read many. (Feel free to send me your best recs!)

However, the thing we love most about a good mafia romance is the dark drama that comes with organized crime.

This book has all that, and the mafia energy, including a slow-to-fall FMC.

SHE FIGHTS FALLING

I love a stubborn FMC, and there’s all sorts of reasons to be stubborn. In Harper’s case, it’s all of them.

But one thing in particular she’s stubborn about is her feelings for Max. She’s slow to admit them for her own reasons, but Max is patient and persistent.

If you like that dynamic, you’ll love Betrayed.
